So the other night I went Dallas BBQ for Dinner and to catch up with a friend I hadn’t seen in entirely too long. For you non-NYC folks Dallas BBQ is a chain of faux BBQ restaurants here that specializes in fried and Large Drinks…
So in my head I’d already allocated the points (and HFCS intake) for a Texas sized Pineapple Pina Colada…that turned into deciding to go for it and get the Fried Shrimps, I had the points so why not right?
Well I don’t know how but when it came time to order I blacked out and the ghost of common sense came out…I got the drink but for my meal I ordered the quarter chicken roasted with a naked baked potato, sour cream on the side, hold the cornbread….
It was perfect…I worked on eating the chicken 1st and had about 3/4th’s of the potato and in the end only ended up having half of my drink (In future I can definitely go with the regular size). After I didn’t feel like I’d missed out on anything (my friend had the Chili Cheeseburger and I barely noticed in..fact I had to recall to write this up)..
baby steps…making them…I think I may even take the plunge and set 5 goals for Feb.
