So. yeah.
Since I’ve been gone…..
I’ve been as physical as ever (walking everywhere I can now that it’s warm, even “Are you sure you don’t want a ride?” distances), but something isn’t clicking to make it all come together.
Recently I started reading/using “The Writing Diet”. I do o.l. on Weight Watchers when I’m all in, but honestly got...

I have no clue what I weigh...
…but I drank 2 liters of water yesterday. Taking the month off from the scale is surprisingly easy when you hold of on buying a new one…
I am all about fruit right now…It’s like I am trying to peer pressure spring into happening. I swear it would be cheaper to develop a crack habit than continuing to spend as much as I have on pineapple. But, with my luck I’d be the...

Any suggestions on other Apps I should give a go?

1. Taking the Month off from the scale
Not because it discourages me or I feel like I’m weighing in too much. It’s actually an odd thing where I’ll have a breakthrough and lose a bit and feel all untouchable and like Pizza isn’t a sometimes food and meanwhile I still have weight to lose. So for Feb. I’m going to...

Auto Pilot Eating
So the other night I went Dallas BBQ for Dinner and to catch up with a friend I hadn’t seen in entirely too long. For you non-NYC folks Dallas BBQ is a chain of faux BBQ restaurants here that specializes in fried and Large Drinks…
So in my head I’d already allocated the points (and HFCS intake) for a Texas sized Pineapple Pina Colada…that turned into deciding to go for it...

I had an apple...
I was obsessed with having a Red Delicious Apple yesterday. I now have a fruit stand less than a block from my house so I went and grabbed one before heading out to Jersey for the day with friends.
I finally ate it on the ride back and let me tell you…Best Apple of 2011 so far. It made me crazy happy that I have 24 hour produce options at the new apartment.
Between this and my ongoing love...

Hey Hi Hello
So I’ve been a bit silent but still here…and with 90% certainty that by the end of the week I will lose at least an ounce.
That’s right kids I am the Worlds oldest Third Grader and will most likely be having my tonsils evicted from their home of 31 years…Thankfully there are advances in Science for Adult babies like me in the form of something called “Thermal...

Happy New Year!
It’s 2011 and I am 95% moved out of the old apartment (I have a mattress and a lamp that need to be collected) and into the new.
I also hopefully have a Hot yoga/Movement Studio that I’ll be doing Work/Study at. In the meantime the move has put me a few blocks from Prospect Park and the Botanical Gardens so I have space to get my walk on.
Food shopping/Meal Planning will start to...

Weigh In: Christmas Edition
I’ve been prepping to move and sort of stressing on finding a place to move to so I’ve not been around.
I have however been getting in at least 3 miles of add’l walking 3 times a week and definitely been making better food choices. I need to up water and thankfully we are about at the end of Holiday drink season and then I will do my traditional January breakup with alcohol till...

Plank challenge.
countdowntolovingmyself:
Brutal shit. Oh man, I used to do planks with my forearms on the floor, back straight, butt down. And it was a piece of cake. The owner of the gym I used to take toning classes at would always compliment it. But the plank form that apparently EVERYONE ELSE has been doing is like… oh my god. -.- 53 seconds. Cool.
I’ve been wondering about the Plank...

Sneaking suspicions...
So with the first bit of snow hitting NYC I’ve started to think about alternatives to my grand walking to jogging (to possibly running plan)…
There is a movement studio opening up in the neighborhood on the 11th that will have Hot Yoga. I do love some Hot Yoga…It’s a good solution to the studio I usually go to being full to the gills with New Years Resolutionists.
But...

So I managed 14 miles of walking in addition to the walking I normally do…Being in NYC I typically get in the 10,000 steps or whatever is recommended.
The extra walking has really been a good thing…I notice my sleep is starting to return to something normal and when I’m hungry it’s more exact ie. “I would like a Turkey Sandwich w/Avocado” and not “WHERE...

I’d give a massive yay! but I know it’s my body getting even/used to less carbs (w/the exception of some popcorn, slice of pizza and whole wheat pasta action) and the fact that I’ve upped my water intake and logged 12 miles of extra walking last week…
Ok, so maybe that does get a yay! I was way more on point than usual and even just...

Discovery of the Day: Erin Huggins
I’m sure I came across her through falling down a Fitblr rabbit hole, but I did a quick Pilates workout she has up on YouTube this morning and I like…
Never felt like I was doing Pilates properly, but she really explains form and demonstrates it as well…May have to go ahead and buy the full Beginners video…

I'm not responsible...
…for having to eat everything I’m presented with today in one sitting.
My biggest Thanksgiving tactic is Tupperware. A big old one for Turkey/Ham/Roast Beef to use over the next few days and a smaller one for all the other things I want to try but don’t want to feel like I have to plow through in a single sitting.
I’m going to have a lovely plate that will include things...

So far my big push has been to remove High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) from my life as much as possible.
Down to damn Cough Suppressant has the stuff in it. As a result fro my cough this week I had to track down (Ok, It was right next to the regular syrup and actually on sale) Cough Suppressant for Diabetics.
It contains Aspartame (not a fav either, but the best I could do) and is also Dye free....

The Weight Watchers aspect may not be for everyone, but a quick workout you can bang out anywhere never hurts.
