Happy End of May...
I’ve been hitting Bikram and got my unfortunately traditional sweat and something else in the room makes me break out rash(I suspect it may be the carpet or the eucalyptus oil used in the room). It usually just looks a bit tragic, but this time it hurt. After a few days of switching ot gentler cleanser, witch hazel wipedowns and whatnot I feel less Frankenstein.

April at a glance...
I’ve walked 13 of the past 19 Days. Another 2 of those Days I did Bikram or worked out at home.
I’ve tracked what I’ve eaten no matter what for 16 of the past 19 days. I’ve only gone beyond what I’ve been allotted calorie wise 3 of those days.
That means I haven’t given up drinking, but damn near close.

The Long Way Around...
So this morning instead of cutting across Center Drive, Amber & I decided to do the full loop and pass the lake. Why we chose the most finger numbing chilly day of the month to do it, I have no clue.

My sleeping has been totally off but a quick catchup…
Walking the park with someone else means that when your sleep is whacked and you don’t hear your phone at 9 you re-schedule to walk at 5pm - Which is amazing because typically I’d just let it throw me into a tailspin and skip the day altogether.
I’m back on the Weight Watchers and been within my points and eating...
Hay.
I am looping the park on average every other day…If I could just sort me plus being awake equals hungry constantly I’d be set.
I’ve started eating breakfast which totally has helped me at least get in some good protein post walk and feel full for a nice stretch of time. Next perfecting my Split Pea Soup recipe and things I could do to it to keep it interesting.

So I’ve been progressively removing dairy from my life. I’ve never been much of an Ice Cream person (I’m more sorbet oriented), but I decided to give Artic Zero a try.
Le Boo. 5 dollars I could have spent at Trader Joe’s on Frozen Mango Chunks. The boo is partially my fault. I continue to try and make myself endure the yick of whey protein and fail gloriously every time....

Well that was a time...
So door to door I ended up walking bit over 4.5 miles. The first 3 were the most absolute drag ass I’ve ever felt. I hit that special place, the 10 pounds that make a serious difference. My stamina is off from living as though I was fresh out of fucks to give the past few weeks. But my actual body felt as though I had a tether or a giant bag of wet sand I was lugging along.
Not Cute.

Morning!
Wide awake at 8:17am..filling up the iPod and going to tackle the Prospect Park loop (3.35-3.38 miles depending on who you ask). It looks blustery out, but some layers and I should be ok. I’ve kicked my dairy habit this month and so far my stomach thanks me for it…more on that later….

I had an apple...
I was obsessed with having a Red Delicious Apple yesterday. I now have a fruit stand less than a block from my house so I went and grabbed one before heading out to Jersey for the day with friends.
I finally ate it on the ride back and let me tell you…Best Apple of 2011 so far. It made me crazy happy that I have 24 hour produce options at the new apartment.

Happy New Year!
It’s 2011 and I am 95% moved out of the old apartment (I have a mattress and a lamp that need to be collected) and into the new.
I also hopefully have a Hot yoga/Movement Studio that I’ll be doing Work/Study at. In the meantime the move has put me a few blocks from Prospect Park and the Botanical Gardens so I have space to get my walk on.

So with the first bit of snow hitting NYC I’ve started to think about alternatives to my grand walking to jogging (to possibly running plan)…
There is a movement studio opening up in the neighborhood on the 11th that will have Hot Yoga. I do love some Hot Yoga…It’s a good solution to the studio I usually go to being full to the gills with New Years Resolutionists.

So far my big push has been to remove High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS) from my life as much as possible.
Down to damn Cough Suppressant has the stuff in it. As a result fro my cough this week I had to track down (Ok, It was right next to the regular syrup and actually on sale) Cough Suppressant for Diabetics.
It contains Aspartame (not a fav either, but the best I could do) and is also Dye free....
